E-PEX is an apex locator that uses multi-frequency technology with automatic calibration, providing highly accurate measurements in both dry and wet canals. It features a large 3.5" color LCD display, a compact, well-balanced design and a 1500 mAh lithium battery.

The E-PEX display shows the progress of the instrument in the root canal with colored bars: white bars indicate that the instrument is approaching the apical foramen, green bars that it is close to the foramen, and red bars that the foramen has been passed, with a short beep. The number on the display does not show the actual canal length, only the trend of the instrument's apical progress.

Yes. The E-PEX apex locator connects to Sifary's E-CONNECT endodontic motor via the data transfer cable: once connected, the E-CONNECT display shows “CONNECTED !”. E-PEX can only be connected to E-CONNECT, using the specified data cable only. With the combination function on (“ON”), the reference point set on E-PEX is automatically transferred to E-CONNECT, which shows the instrument's progress on its own display with an increasingly rapid beep as it approaches the apical foramen. When the reference point is reached, E-CONNECT activates Apical Reverse, Apical Slow Down and apical torque reduction, as well as automatic Start&Stop.
